Thanks to my local mechanic Dennis Mitchell. He saved me 2400$. He found a piece of metal between the switch that was making the top not working right. He removed the metal piece and the chime and light are off. Thanks to Memphis for trying to rip me off

So did you, or should I say Dennis, install the new switch or just stay with the old one. And if you could be more specific when you say metal. Was this a part or some shavings... This could be worth an inspection if there is a wear issue.
I believe JohnnyCake's recent switch (a different one) failure was also due to we're and tear.

He did replace the switch first but it still didn't work so after a little detective work he saw the piece of metal and removed it after that it worked fine I will ask him Thursday about it a little more thanks to bob and Harold
