Just offering some price perspective fwiw. Last year I paid 17,000 plus the title to a beater SAAB (worth about 3K) for an 02 with 50k miles, garage kept and beautiful. Yesterday, I helped a friend of mine with a deal on an 02 Black with Saddle interior, 85k miles, very nice car, garage kept yada yada for 15K. As a matter of fact, he still has it listed on Craiglist, Jacksonville NC for 15.5K. I think she got a great deal. I am thinking 23.5k for an 03 is a little high. Just my opinion of course.

I just went through a similar experience....I turned 50, sold my Harley after 11 yrs of very little use...Decided to purchase something wife and I could use together (hated back of bike). Settled on SC after researching and driving many competitors. I was aware of 06 upgrade, however, this will be a seasonal, weekend toy and not a primary vehicle. Ended up with a good deal on an 03 with 45K. Used dealer who replaced tires, brakes, filters and belts. Personal friend that is a master mechanic for a large dealer that includes Lexus. Told for what I am looking for don't get lost in the year as upgrades were not that noticeable. Ended up paying 23K with all improvements. Midnight pearl with tan leather...(1) owner car with clean carfax. Recommend changing timing belt at 90K OR 6 yrs. Will probably do that over winter....Good luck and don't let your WIFE make all the Decisions...LOL

I agree with everyone. Get an 06 unless you're looking for a specific feature in the newer models. These cars of ours age really well and keep their value extremely well. You'll be surprise how much an 09 is worth and it's a 4 year old car.

I would have loved an 09, actually found a 2010 but for that price I could buy a fully loaded IS350 C brand new! probably paid too much for the 06 but I am happy with 3 year cpo, interior stain coverage, scratch and dent repair, 3 year prepaid oil changes, tax, tags, etc.. for 31 out the door with two beat up 100k+ toyotas worth 6 grand needing $$$Work!!
