If you're interested in origins of Dogs B******S then its 1950's packaging which created two sayings :
Box, deluxe - this gave rise to 'Dogs Bollocks'
Box, standard - this gave rise to 'Bog Standard'
Apparently.......

I think ser67 means it originated from packing boxes in the 1950's(although that is new to me) and nothing to do with cars particularly. Deluxe was 'the best' and Standard was 'normal'. So anything that is considered good can be referred to as 'the dogs b.....ks'. Anything that is average can be referred to as 'bog standard'.
Hope I am correct in my 'translation'. Lol
I am a East London 'cockney' and know most rhyming slang, but never knew where that came from, thanks ser67.
Best regards

No problem Mike, gave me quite a laugh.
I am on the North London-Essex border.
You should look up the posts from Aquanuke(he is from the younger generation), he is in Surrey and his car is amazing, best in the UK.
We had a meet last year (around Oct) at the Ace Cafe in London. Hopefully it will be on again later this year.
Good luck and post some pics as soon as you get the car.
Best regards

Good stuff.
Aquanuke's car definitely came from the deluxe box as well - wow........
Have been on meets at the Ace before with other car's I've owned so would be very interested in a trip back if someone could let me know when.
Cheers

Aquanukes (Chris) car is even better in the 'flesh'
Chris is also a fantastic photograher, look up Ace meet on here and look as some of his photo's. He has also posted some brilliant ones on the thread 'post the most recent pictures' look it up.
Another two Brits on here with modded SC's are tsachiti (Will) (Surrey again) and Blast-off (Essex near Southend).
Blast-off (Ian) runs a website for modded Japanese cars www.outlawjapclub.com and it was Ian that organised the Ace meet last year. They had another earlier this year, but I was out of the country and couldn't make it.
If I hear that there is going to be another, I will let you know. Be good to get more SC's.
Very best

delay.................................
lol, so I can't now pick the car up until Saturday!
To be fair the Dealer (Honda) promised to replace all four knackered TPMS sensors (at a cost to them) but hadn't realised they would need to be set up by a Lexus dealer so Saturday it is. Today was 32 degrees Celsius so am hoping the weather lasts 'til the weekend as I plan a trip down to Brighton for a coast run. Fingers crossed the rain holds off.
And it does give them more time to give the car a full valet so it isn't all bad Will hopefully be posting pics of the car by the sea at the weekend..................

I'm not sure what I said that was funny but as American actor Donald O'Connor once sang....................
....or you could study Shakespeare and be quite elite,
And you charm the critics and have nothin' to eat.
Just slip on a banana peel, the world's at your feet.
Make 'em laugh. Make 'em laugh. Make 'em laugh.
Can anyone (American) here name the film - sans Google of course?

Picked the car up yesterday and have not stopped driving or smiling since. A lovely smooth cruiser that gets noticed and is a pleasure to drive, fast or slow. Plenty of sun yesterday so drove to the coast with roof down most of the time.
A couple of shots from yesterday, first one shows that we did make the coast!:

A completely stock car with a fsh and superb interior. Will soon fit rear parking sensors and have got hold of a space saver spare wheel for long distance.
