wow..that sucks, I thought they had test fitted on a sc430 before they released that header.

Warranty only works the best if you are a DIYer, most people will only get the short end of the deal if they have to pay someone to install/unistall/reistall it.

True.. But even as a DIYer, you would not want to go through install, uninstal - Downtime - install etc.. The job is very involving, you have to leak your freon and your brake fluid not to mention the amount of stuff you need to remove to reach. SC's bay is quite cramped in comparison with other 430s (GS, LS)..

Oh well, guess you're always risking these things when modifying, you wanna play it safe, stay stock.

Anyone else have this problem? Anyone with the first gen 4.0 V8?

I'd like to get one, but the idea of spending 1500 for the install job seems a bit much.

Also, would a visual inspection, like setting it on a flat table saved this headache? Not sure how exacting these have to be.
