ball bearing???
wife closed the roof and next morning found a small ball bearing on the seat. first thought it was a bead but no hole in it. Service manager said it looked like a ball bearing. I guess there could be bearings in the roof mechanism, but has anyone experienced or heard of them falling out???

That's a new one to me. Is she sure that it didn't fall out of her purse? I can't imagine what or where it could fall out of that it would land on the seat (front seat, I assume?).

Not from the roof according to service. It was dry with no grease on it, so must have just dropped in while top was down! Funny how it just appeared on the front seat! Maybe a bird dropped it! luckily it didn't hit anyone!
