Default streaming music from iphone to my 2007 SC430

Hi, I am a new Lexus owner (previous owned a BMW 135i) and I am very happy with the car. I got the bluetooth working with my iPhone. However, I am unable to stream music via bluetooth. For reference, my 2011 BMW was able to utilize my iphone bluetooth to make/receive phone calls as well as play music. Do you know if there is any way to play music via the bluetooth in my SC430? Or do I really need to buy and install an additional unit to make this happen? If so, any recommendation on the unit? Thank you very much.

Your gonna need a Grom Audio Unit with bluetooth dongle to stream music. Give them a call and they will hook you up with what you need. also, Kuda makes a great mounting system for the iphone for the SC. kudausa.com and gromaudio.com

Thank you, deathstar! I've been reading on the forum. It seems like some people are recommending :
Pioneer AVH-P4400BH
Any experience with this? This is the newest on the market I think. Thanks again.

of course you can replace your radio but you will loose your factory Navigation and steering wheel controls. there are adapters out there but the steering wheel adapter is $300 alone. Lots of cash to spend just to get your radio to stream bluetooth. Grom Audio unit is $130 plus the bluetooth dongle.

cassette adapters work great but when you put them in, the tape mechanism motors are constantly running non stop while you have the stereo set on tape... will shorten the life of the tape mechanism.

Thanks guys. Very helpful. Another reason I'm looking at that Pioneer unit is for its HD toner. It makes a huge difference. My BMW had HD, and it sounds amazing even with crappy Hermon Kardon sound system. Now I'm leaning towards getting the Grom adapter. Do I need additional unit for HD? If so, any recommendations?
