Default What happened to my nav?

All of a sudden I noticed my nav screen is leaning way back. Tilt no longer works, but the nav itself works fine. Anyone else ever had this problem or know whats going on?

Looks like its off the track. Do you hear any motor noise when you try to tilt screen. From your picture your screen seems to be back way to much. Do you hear any noise at all. Is there any interfearance with the wood trim you added around the screens frame.

There is no noise whatsoever when you press the tilt button and yes the screen is slanted way back. It's seems to be further back than any of the tilt adjustments. Ironically this happened the day after I got the SC back from Lexus for service and a new battery. Nothing was done inside. The wood trim pieces (on the display) have been in place for over four years without any issue. Part of the reason for the trim was to cover a crack in the frame of the display that was there when I purchased it 4 1/2 years ago. The nav has never had a problem, including now, except that it no longer tilts. On the other hand my pioneer head unit has a superior nav system complete with traffic. I do have a third party warranty that covers the nav, but am pretty sure it will not cover the nav given the crack in the frame.

Are you able to move the screen at all by gently putting slight pressure on it. The issue has to be related to a motor failure and also perhaps a frame or bracket failure. The nav has to come out in order to get a look and diagnose the problem

I tried to move it by hand and it won't budge. I wonder if my warranty would cover it given the cracked frame and the aftermarket head unit.

I dont know about if your covered under warranty but it really sounds like the motor is either bound up jumped a track or else a bracket is interfearing with its movment. The nav has to come out to diagnose the problem . It may be simple as an adjustment to the frame of the screen or it could be the motor. I have had mine out several times, Its noit hard just needs some coaxing out and two sets of hands

Good luck
