Nag & Radio cover won't close
Hello every this is VegasT from Las Vegas, NV and I'm new to this site as of 11/17/2012. I have a 2002 SC430 and the cover to my nag and to my radio will not close. The nag won't go back it just stays out. Can anyone please tell me how I can fix this? I thought it may be a fuse but I don't think that's it.
Thanks for your time!

Thanks Mandyfig for the info but I've tried that already. I guess I'll just take it in and see what the problem is. Also thanks for responding!

Top two are:
1. Fuse 2. lid came off track. Motor failure is a distant third, as far as we've heard here.
There are threads (look under radio installs) on how to take out the nav and radio head units to work on the motorized covers.

The radio cover switch has had issues in the past also. I don't remember reading about any of the NAV switches having issues though.
I'd make a joke about the need for a "nag" cover but it would come across as sexist.

Method 1: Attachments
You can upload a picture directly from your computer to a post as an 'attachment'. Pics must be 800x600 or smaller and 100k or smaller in size.
When you create a new thread or reply to a thread there's 'Additional Options' at the bottom (if you don't see them maybe you did a quick reply in which case you need to click 'Go advanced') and there's a button labeled 'Manage Attachments' and by clicking on that you can upload your picture file.
Method 2: Link a picture stored on another web siteWhen you create a new thread or reply to a thread there's 'Additional Options' at the bottom (if you don't see them maybe you did a quick reply in which case you need to click 'Go advanced') and there's a button labeled 'Manage Attachments' and by clicking on that you can upload your picture file.
You can upload your pictures to another web site (like photobucket which is very popular), and then put the address (URL) of those pictures into your posts. This is better than attachments because you're not limited to size (although huge pictures over 1200 wide are not welcomed) and you can put the addresses of multiple pictures (vs. 1) in a single post.
After you've uploaded your picture to another web site, get the picture on your screen (maybe in another browser), and copy its address (URL) as follows:
Firefox - right click on the image and select 'Copy Image Location'
Internet Explorer - right click on the image and select 'Properties' and copy the address of the picture by highlighting it and right-click/copy or Ctrl-C.
Method3: Using the Club Lexus Photo Gallery Click here for tutorial
Then in your post/pm browser you can paste the the picture address between img tags like this:

Hi Vegas, welcome. I had the problem of the radio cover not working. The problem was that the wire harness at the back of the switch became disconnected. All you have to do is take the center counsole apart and push the wire clip back into place. No tools needed. To do this:
1. Open storage cover on center counsole (arm rest)
2. using your thumbs, push up and forward at the back of the seat heater controls, move to one side
3. unscrew the gear shift ****
4. lift up on the center counsole
5. turn it over and see the back of the switch that controls the radio cover.
6. Use the tip of a pen or small phillips screwdriver and push the wire harness clip back into place
7. put the parts back the way your found them and you should be golden.
Hope this works for you. Should take all of 5 minutes to do.
