Default Navigation screen unresponsive

Hi I'm a newbie who just bought a '02 Sc430. Te navigation screen pops up but is unresponsive to touch input. I tried to search for a thread with this issue but couldn't find one. Any help or possible suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Are you trying it when standing still? The touch screen is locked out when the car is moving.

Yes, I am trying to use the navigation while in park. I found the navigation in the trunk and I took the DVD out and put it back in. The screen went out an gave the no disk detected code and when I put the disk back in it bottled up again and gave me the menu screen. The only thing is I can't move past that screen. I'm thinking the touch screen sensor has gone bad because when I press the the info button and try to adjust the contrast or anything on the screen for that matter it doesn't do anything.

So now my dilemma is do I order another screen and updated map dvd (the one in my car is from '02 or is there an aftermarket screen or navigation that I can use to replace the one that I have.
