I took my 2002 out on Sunday and used the Nav system for the first time in a long time. For some reason the nav system seemed to be working slow and at one point the unit locked up and wouldn't let me enter an address (Yes, I was stopped).

Restarting the car seemed to help the Nav system but still it was acting slow then I noticed that the oil filter and oil change reminder was not working, it was stuck at 2467 miles remaining for the rest of the trip and now I have no idea how long that has been stuck that way. I suspect it has been stuck for quite some time.

I am looking for suggestions, I am temped to try to find an updated disc, mine is original from 2002 but I don't want to spend that kind of money only to find out that the DVD unit is failing.

I have read somewhere that I can change the unit in the trunk to a newer unit but I have not found anyone with first hand knowledge of what works and what doesn't.

It was pretty embarrassing that Lexus unit got confused and got us lost in West Palm Beach while the $100 Garmin I gave to my girlfriend for Christmas worked right.
