They list a pair at $40, does that sound correct?
I mean if you're not in any hurry, wait about a week. I get flyers often (more around holidays; ie. Memorial Day Sale, 4th of July Sale, etc). from them with discount codes. I think with the discount code, I paid like 19.99 plus shipping.

I'm sure they will have a Labor Day Sale but it's still a few weeks away.

That sounds great! Thanks for the additional information...a little extra bling for the car always helps!!!

I bought a set of the built-ins for $15 on ebay... it's pretty much the same puddle light lens size in almost all of the newer toyotas and lexuses, apparently. It literally take 5 minutes to pop in, only here's the kicker... they were out of adjustment. The L in the logo was getting cut off by the bottom of the door. I had to use the alternate mounting holes, and remove the tiny screws on back to do this. Easier said than done, because the screw head on one side of both was being blocked by the plastic that covers over the circuit board.

They also were a pain to get to stay IN the door, the clip isn't identical to the clips on our SC430's. I finally got them in... it took a lot of nudging the lower portion of the housing in further on the bottom end (if that makes sense). When all is said and done, they are in... but now the focus is really bad. I'm a professional photographer... I know the difference between sharp and blurry. I can't figure out how to focus these. There has to be some sort of barrel adjustment. Flipping the film chip around didn't work. I emailed the seller, and they said that they were fine.

Be careful when disassembling them as well... the solders on the tiny wires on the board are crappy. The wires are thin and flimsy, very delicate. It's good I know how to solder, because I ripped one of the connections right off the board when tinkering with it. A little flux and some extra solder, and I was back in action.

After farting around with these for 2 whole damn hours, I'm done. They're in... they work... they're just blurry. I guess it's better than nothing. The drive side is a bit sharper than the passenger side. The ones for $25-30 on amazon have customer images showing them much sharper. Maybe I just got a bad set.
