I have the 2005 and once your actually in the car the red looks very different. in fact most compliments on the car I receive are based on the interior red with the black birds eye expresso wood.
I can understand how you feel. In fact when I look at my cars interior from pictures I have taken I dont like it myself, The color looks different in pictures then when in person . I guess you have to see it in person

Pearl White is great looking and easy to take care of. My wife's CT is Starifire Pearl and my recent Toyota Avalon was Pearl White.
The 07 SC430 vs the 05 gives you lots of factory upgrades.
Newly designed gauge cluster
Better headlights
LED Tail lights
6 speed automatic transmission
There's not much difference between an 06-09

I honestly can't see how people can stand the red interior. If it was a dark red or burgundy it might be classy. But the red is so, well... BRIGHT. I would think that after a while it would get to be too much. But I guess it's one of those polarizing colors: you either hate it or love it! It sure isn't for me.

I'm not going to be a hater here, so I won't say anyting bad about the "other" car. I have an 07 PB and I can tell you it's awesome! It's not just white, it's pearl white! I don't see many SC430's on the road and I never see one like mine. I love having a unique car. The earlier poster is right, when you see the red interior in a photo it looks off, kind of orange. But in person, it looks deep, true red. A clasic roadster

I voted for the '07. I have seen the Pearl White in person and it really glows like a pearl. I have a '04 but the upgrades of the '07 are great and with the spider wheels they look Much better than the non-PB version. saves money on upgrades ... Last summer I actually saw anothe PB ''07. I'm not a big fan or the red interior but I love the red&white classic corvettes and thunderbirds!
Good luck - either way you will love the SC.

There is a 2007 Pearl White with Saddle interior that just got listed at an independent dealer in St Pete Florida. This dealer has a nice small inventory of high end cars usually in pristine condition. The Pictures on the site are not of this car but of a generic SC430.

My 2007 is Silver/Saddle and I really like the Saddle interior.
This one has 22,000 miles on it. My sources told me the dealer just got it on an auction in PA for $29,300 so he probably has at least $31,000 in it with auction fees and shipping. If he put new tires on it he probably has another $900 invested.
He has it listed for $36,980.00. My guess is that it can be had for $35k or slightly less. .

My vote is 2007, and I just picked up a 2007 PB with the Pearl While/Red combo. Loving it! When I took it to my lexus dealer for service (Tucson, AZ) each of the service folks and sales people had to go back to the service department to admire the car. Another plus is that we also have a 2018 NX300h in a similar white. Had an new SC430 in 2005 and, given the narrow streets with blind corners in our town (Sausalito, CA), my wife ultimately refused to drive it. Now, 15 years later in Tucson, with the wide streets and few blind intersections, we're loving it. I too have had black cars and in addition to the difficulty in keeping them clean, any minor ding in the doors are magnified.

White is right! Black is the worst color to keep looking clean.
