New SC430 Owner - UPDATED with lots of PICS
Hello.........my name is Michael and I am a new owner of a SC430 (wow, that sounded a lot like the beginning of a 12 step program).............thought I would introduce myself:
Anyway, I recently bought a 2002 Black/Ecru SC430 with 17k miles. It was a real garage queen. It was a one onwer car with a clean service history with all service being performed by the local lexus dealer. Seller was a 70+ year old grandma who was selling her house/car to move to Florida.
Since buying it I have replaced the factory RFT with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus tires. This has made a great car even better. I know it has been said here before, but wow, what a difference. I have also changed the timing belt, water pump, idlers, thermostat, drive belt, spark plugs and the key fluids (local mechanic that I have always trusted).
I did a full day, seven step paint restoration with me and my handy, dual-action polisher. I haven't yet tackeled the interior, but honestly, it already looks and smells like new.
I am still wanting to upgrade my wheels (really like the looks of the Tourmaline wheels). I also want to do something to add ipod intergration. I am split between just adding Vais capability or doing an entire system upgrade.
That's my story............thanks!
Michael

Welcome to CL Michael. Wow! What a great find on a very low mileage SC. You are already on your way by doing maintenance first and then modding. Replacing the RFTs and timing belt are huge on the SC. FWIW, I have the Vaistech in my SC and RX and love it. Two things you need to do.........1-post pics of your SC on CL... .2- drop the top and enjoy your new ride!!!!

Hi Mandy
Nowhere, just horrible winter here and nothing doing with the car apart from the LED's.
My Son has moved and now I don't have his wonderful garage to work on my car, so it sits on the drive waiting for Sping to arrive.
Take care
Best regards
