I still like the Power Stop z23 carbon fiber ceramic pads!

hello sc430's,

I just upgraded my entire brake system (minus the OEM calipers).

stoptech drilled/slotted rotors (front/rear)
stoptech brake lines ( front/rear)
EBC brake pads (redstuff)
kept OEM calipers

result: braking is on a dime. a little squealing the first day to break in the brake pads but after a day or so,
the hardware seemd quiet when braking as I rolled down the windows to listen to the brake system.

overall, it was a successful upgrade and I will post picks of the new setup.
way better than the OEM rotors which were re-surfaced several times (about 3 times) but don't recommend
re-surfacing them anymore after that. better off with getting new rotors.

well, I got this car tuned and dialed in to the way I want it to be and enjoy driving this beauty.

pics will be posted soon.

thanks...sam

Awesome! Did you do the work yourself? If so, did you take any photos? I had mine done for me at a shop when I upgrade to the Supra TwinTurbo Big Brake Kit, but want to repaint/refresh/color change my calipers. Thinking about attempting on my own but don't know the exact and proper steps; especially when it comes to bleeding. I don't want to crack or damage the Master Cylinder. Heard that is a huge and costly mistake. If you have any photos or a DIY, please let me (and the forum) know. Thanks.

my tire shop did the install. here are the pics of the finished installation.
there will be some minor squeaking noise from the fronts as they break in for a couple of days.
there will some minor brake bust from the new pads.
after 3-4 days, the break in period has been completed and it looks like there's very minimal brake dust
compared to the last brake pad set. no more squeaking from the fronts.

thanks...sam

I just replaced my front rotors and Ceramic pads a few weeks ago. the ceramic pad had a little burnishing area built into them, and they have never made noise. I agree that turning rotors doesn't make sense after the first time.
