Rear Window Mod
#16
IMHO, the problem with this mod in real-life situations is that you can EITHER take manual control of the rear windows OR you can raise/lower the top.
Once you manually change the position of the rear windows (up or down), you have to return them to their original position, cycle the ignition, and only then will the top work again

can i ask why it seems a lot of folks SOLD their luxlink?
Though i remember reading a thread on how to operate it and it seemed like you have to know Morse Code to get it to work
Along with a carefully choreographed dance routine on how far away from vehicle you need to be while doing it.

its like anything else thats new . There is a learning curve with the luxlink and once mastered it works well. I like just having one remote control . The OEM remote is what you use.

bacardi, received your PM, but your profile does not permit private messages to be received so my reply was rejected.
1. Yes, the whole "ignition cycle" hassle applies even when a Luxlink is involved.
2. Although Steve may not sell the rear window mod separately, he was just repackaging a generic version anyway. You can get the same exact thing online without the markup.
