Default Test Drove

I am a GS4 owner and decided to test drive the SC430. Beutiful car......................butttttt. I wasn't too impressed with the power, especially the torque. The ride wasn't as smooth as many other Lexus's which I have drove as well. I am thinking it is because of those horrible run flats. The handling was okay in my opinion. It is def. a cruiser car. Women look gr8 in em .

I agree. I'm not the biggest fan of the SC430. It might have a nice interior, but so does every other Lexus. Other Lexus have the electroluminescent lights and the fabulously quiet and smooth ride. Not the SC430! I'll keep my LS.

Sorry if I am knockin the SC. I am not. Just wanted to share my opinion. It drizzle rain, the traction was also very bad. Semmed like everytime i even gently pushed the pedal, the VSC would go crazy. I am thinkin some Teins and new tires could help the situation. I talked to my Lexus mechanic buddies who say the engineering in the car was just not up to par. IMO.

JWC83-

If you're "not the biggest fan" of the SC430, maybe you should move over to the LS forum where you can discuss the electroluminescent dash lights and let those of us who own and love SC430s discuss our cars.

With all due respect, I visit ClubLexus to hear the impressions of other SC430 owners and get tips on improving my car. I happen to love the car and really don't care what non-owners think.

You won't find me visiting the LS forum because I have absolutely no interest in the car or in making derisive comments about it to those who own one.

I wish the dash lights were that orange color.

Just go over to the Guage Cluster thread. It has 21 posts... everything you need to know about electroluminescent (and floating) lights.

The torque in the Sc430 is the same as in the GS430. Maybe it feels less powerful because it accelerates smoother than other cars. I would rather have smooth acceleration rather than jerky acceleration that gives the car a feeling of more powerful.

Default LS-GS vs SC

The LS looks like every other boring sedan out there. Nice car but its like the Honda Pilot of sedans.

Although all Lexus cars have nice interiors, none beat the SC430.

dgtbullet: I have no idea on your problem with the VSC. 20 months, 20,000 miles later my VSC has come on maybe 2 dozen times and every car that I owned up to the SC was a Porsche so I don't drive like a wimp. (By the way I'm in the Northeast and drive the car all year round)

Lexus owners are a civilized bunch. Go over to rennlist.com and knock another Porsche, you probably would get death threats.

I can find numerous things I don't like about the GS or LS but common sense dictates not to express my opinion on their message boards.

Talking lexus

all lexus cars are great, and i really don't know many other vehicles overall i would want to own. I feel the sc430's interior is killer, and the ride is good overall. its the nicest slickest car on the road...next to the 500sl imo

i just cant help putting my opinion in here when i read this thread. I own both a GS 430 and the Sc 430 and they both an excellent car. If i need to haul some people, i used my GS and for cruising, my SC.. i get more looks on my SC though..

This past friday on my way home a teenager with his girlfriend in the car motioned for me to roll down my window. He asked how much the car ran and I said 63K sticker. His girlfriend screamed to me what a beautiful car it was. I thanked her and the she volunteered that when she saw the car she "creamed her panties".

If it got that reaction from driving next to it, imagine driving in it!

Fulmitz

p.s. my wife wasn't too thrilled with that story
