So for dumb electrical guys like me.
You;
1. place the DRLs per your liking
2. route the driver's side wire behind the grill and in front of the radiator
3. splice the 2 wires together
4. route a single wire to the fuse box in front of the battery.
5. split the wire
6. wedge a single wire into the #9 TEL 5 Amp fuse or switch out to a Mini Fused Circuit
7. loosen the negative battery connection and wedge the other wire and tighten.
8. force the fuse cover on the box and over the wire
Is this correct?

Question, this #9 fuse is only live with the ignition? I'm admittedly slow and don't want to have to keep remembering to turn off the lights and carry around another remote.
Here's my tap as shown:

1. This is live all the time. You may want to find a fuse that is IGN on. Take your pick. Live allows you to turn on on demand. Risk is you will forget to turn off.

2. Use a connector when you tap on NEG side of battery. Use dielectric grease for good contact.

Good luck!

Got 5, 20 and 35 tints and will play around this weekend. Also contemplating on relocating the LEDs further down on the grille. It is quite blinding. Invitation for a ticket and a safety concern.

Again thanks to StillLine for this LED and remote relay discovery.

I have relocated my LED's. I think it is much better. And I also angled it down so there is not blinding with the on coming traffic.

No problem mandyfig, I really enjoy these kinds of little projects. Your lights look nice in the lower part of the grill. I really like how bright these LED bars are and I especially enjoy how they're hooked up with the remote switch on non-switched circuit. Inadvertently leaving them on does not concern me as it would probably take days to run the battery down. I am conscious about running them at night since they would attract too much attention with their brightness. I'm already running without a front plate and don't need the PO PO taking any second looks at the front of my SC.

StilLine your location is the best. 06 and up will have this option. Too bad for 05 and down. I like where it is for me.

Here is another way to safely add a circuit. After finding a vehicle fused circuit that is active during the correct times
( either always ON, ON with Ignition or ON with Accessory ), use this handy little gem to add and fuse the new circuit.

This is from NAPA and comes with the extra fuses shown but other full-line automotive stores will have similar items.
The only draw-back is clearance with the Red output wire, the raised double fuse area and current draw limitations.

Yes this is a handy circuit adder. With the little draw our LEDs have, the tapping on an existing fuse is well sufficient. Right now I can move the tap to a IGN on fuse, as simple as that. But I lose the on demand "on" when approaching the car for security.

Default I just installed them on mine

I wired them as DRL because I don't like the light yellow light from the bright light bulb for DRL mode. So the LEDs simply cut off when I cut the headlights on.

So how did you actually wire this set up? Did you lose the high beam when you did this?

That looks great! Wish I would have thought of that. Nice job b3player!

They are all the same. Go back to the beginning of this thread and discover the answer to your question.

You guys are luck you have the great location for the LED. For us 2005 and below, no choice. But I still like the location I ended up with.
