Lex - I didn't see you ever posted the stall rpm for your TC you ended up with compared to oem. Can you mention that?

Sure, sorry I forgot. The TC restall was a bit of a disappointment. SRT did a conservative restall to preserve the life of my transmission, which I appreciate. But I cannot really tell a difference, which sucks because I paid a grand.

The restall was set at 2600 rpm over the stock 1600. This is the rpm at which your car starts moving. So the car revs higher and is supposed to give a better launch. The SRT web page says that this will improve 0-60 by .5 to .75 seconds. But I cannot tell a difference so if anything my 0-60 maybe improved by .1 or .2 if at all.

To add to bacardi's comments which I totally agree with ...

The SC engine was not designed for 500 hp. Check out Lextreme ... They produce performance rods and show pictures comparing with the oem rods. You can finish your airflow with an upgraded exhaust and PPE headers. You could also get the engine a port&polish and upgraded camshaft before you go supercooled. Basically you have to upgrade the engine to be able to handle the extra HP. You have a 2002 so when you do the headers you can replace the motors mounts with Megan mounts and also replace the trans mount.

You might want to look for a wrecked IS-F and buy the engine to do a swap ... Would a fun project but will also end up being rather pricey ... Maybe about the same price you got quoted but then you have an engine that was made for more HP.

I just did the exhast but haven't done the dyno or track runs yet. Headers to follow - they're in a box on the floor.

I'm in Ashburn - we can meet up anytime to compare notes or go to the track.

lex
you should see a difference with a 2600 stall. on my vett. I used 3800 but that was for the track. 2600 would be the most I would go for your car. chat with ( greg slvbullet ) he's doing the right way to go. you are 100% right on what the car will do at 2600 rpms. lex I would put trans cooler in. talk to greg. I see him in low 5s 0-60 and in the 13s when he's done. not bad for a stock car. your next thing is Dr Gas Exhaust. so you guys know a stock engine is an engine that has been blueprinted, but they are still a stock engine. these are the engines that win at the tracks. there are many things you can do an still be called stock.
