Default Should i get my sc supercharged?

SRT says that if they supercharge my sc it can get to 500 hp. The price tag is 8k. My sc is 2002 with 110k miles. It is a huge amount of money to spend on something unnecessary, but I cannot stop thinking about it.

Feel free to comment and make suggestions. Thanks!!

Hello- Where can I get a turbo installed? In my area SRT is the only reputable place I know of. I live in the Baltimore Washington area. Is turbo less expensive? What did you mean by NAT? :-)

if you turbo your engine, you will need to build it to more money. you will spend money on an engine that was not build for that, again waist of money. my 02 cents spend your money like making the car look sharp if you want to spend your money. turbo or super in the long run for a little fun is not the way to go. again my 02. not a good investment or smart one. when you blow it another engine needed again, ( the old saying is if you want to play you must pay ).

I agree with bacardi11 110%. Why, you may ask?

'Nuff said.

MrMark, Are you really going to supercharge your car at SRT??! I'm really interested to hear how it goes!! I believe they do really good work. The owner is a good guy and really knows these cars.

sounds like you dont know anything about your car.

in that case, i'd advise you to leave it stock.

Why do you say I don't know anything about my car? I have have a SRT cold air intake on it, and the torque converter restalled. My sprint booster is also a lot if fun!! But I don't want to ruin my car...

Too late for me.......none of my cars are stock. I was going to drop my car off but they're working on a couple things to finish up the retrofit.
