Default ARP/Other Extended Studs too long? I may have a new solution if people are interested

Hi Guys,

so im starting this thread because when I first got my aftermarket wheels I had like 5 mm of stock stud thread available to tighten my lug nut onto and did not know that ET ultra shank lug nuts existed so I ended up getting ARP extended studs and mounted my wheels with cone seat open end lug nuts. This setup did not seem proper as the lugs were pretty much just holding the wheel with the cone seat and the hub hole diameter is larger then stud diameter so there was a gap BUT I needed them to sit with no play at all since wobbling and vibrations are very common in the lexus. After the discovery of ET ultra shank lugs which would creep into that gap and grip enough thread I still did not want to go back to my stock studs, nor did i want to get those tiny open end ET lug nuts where my arp stud would stick out 1 inch past the lug (ugly) and I really did not want to cut the stud shorter, as I do not like ruining anything or messing up.

So for proper tight seating I decided to get custom extended ET ultra shank lugs made.. took about 5 months of research and 2 attempts and the final product is perfect. check pics below. now I have my set of 44, (22 extended closed end and 22 extended open end) but I would like to know if anyone else is interested because I may get alot more manufactured BUT only if people are interested, and i will have to get a large amount. I know many people may say this is unnessesary but I would still prefer having extended studs over stock specially if you got big wheels on and a heavy car!

12x1.5 (55mm long) I will attach dimensions. It will obviously take some time to manufacture more as I will have to order a large amount. But if this seems like an idea anyone would be interested in, do reply. Please remember that there is no one, not even the largest manufacture in north or south america which was willing to make them unless you order like 20000 pieces. These are coming from over seas and have a grade 8 level strength and very very high quality.

Also keep in mind that with regular lug nuts holding wheel just from the beginning (cone, acorn, etc.) seat causes your studs to slowly bend over time as the wheel is pretty much being held from its edge, It happened to me, another reason to why I needed the wheels sitting Perfectly.

any other questions please ask.

So after installing a strut bar, new upper and lower ball joints, daizen front end bushing kit, 20" wheels with new hankook tires, vehicle allignment and these custom lug nuts everything is tight and proper.

The quality is amazing and im very happy with the perfect seating and there is absolutely no room for play between the wheels and hub since the wheel gets to sit on the cone + ultra shank along with hub center
