Default New Lexus SC 430 owner

Hello everyone,

I bought my Lexus sc 430 in April of this year and love this car. I am from the Netherlands and here this car is very rare (ony sold 113 in 9 years in total). I would like to thank everybody for sharing their knowledge.

Tuning is also a hobby of mine and in the last couple of months I have tuned my car:

- 2006 Rear lights and clear lights
- Clear corners (also connected : white leds in the front and red in the back)
- Parking sensors
- New GT alarm (old one was causing problems mainly at night https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/pat.gif
- Parrot carkit with Lexus cable (calling via ML speakers is now possible)
- MeisterR coilovers
- Tokyo XO rims
- New exhaust tips
- Mega downpipe (not the testpipe)
- PPE headers
- Racekats (custom)
- Klappenauspuff (bypass with remote):
- Sprintbooster (what a difference)
- Puddle lights in the doors and back
- New motor and transmission mounts
- Upgraded nav DVD 2010

I now have a problem with my o2 sensor (A code P0135, Oxygen O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1, Sensor 1) , but the lexus dealer charges 350 Euro!

I have read a lot of threads on this forum regarding the 02 sensor, but I do not understand which sensor of for example Bosch will fit?

I have attachted a couple of pictures, feel free to comment.

Kind Regards Humphrey

Nice looking SC! Very tastefully done. Welcome to the CL forum.

Bank 1 Sensor 1 is the O2 sensor on the left bank exhaust manifold ( now in the PPE header ). Sometimes called the
front or up-stream O2 sensor. It can be reached from underneath and is a bit easier to replace than the rear sensor
due to the location of it's harness connector. It's is best to use a official Factory OEM type O2 sensor rather than an
after-market brand.

Thank you for the compliments.

In the mean time I am also convinced that an OEM 02 sensor will be the best option, so I will go for that.

Mandyfig and Will44, I have read a lot of your posts on this forum and you two are really a fanatics (just like me) which is good .

The rims are 20 inch and make a huge difference.

I will also invest in a unichip form dastek and will keep you informed.

Beautiful! Love the rims. Are they 8.5? Did you have to use spacers?

I want to add the new tail lights too.

You must draw a lot of attention and interest where ever you go. I have the silver too and sometimes I think I see a metallic shade of green in the paint if the light hits it just right.

What is the Sprintbooster?

Hi all,

I did not use spaceres and have no rubbing. Bought them in the states too :>

The silver colour indeed is sometimes like green, I experience that too and like the effect.

With the 20 inch rims I draw a lot attention which is nice but not always. You do not see these cars in the netherlands a lot. It was not easy to find elegant rims with a sporty touch by the way...It took me very long to find nice rims.

Hereby the specs of the rims:

20x8.5 +32 with 245/35/20 and 20x10 +42 with 275/30/20

The sprint booster is a electronic throttle controller like the apexi one.At frst, I was very skeptic, but can not imagine to drive without it anymore. The automatic transmission does hardly have any delay anymore. You can find it on ebay.

Got the led tail lights from carson and this is a really goog upgrade. People have difficulty to see from which year the car is

I think I should change my forum name in HumphreySILVER
