Within a day or two my Nav screen looks smudgy as all get out with lots of fingerprints on it. I tried using a non-alcohol computer screen cleaner which show streaks. Any suggestions?

You are either using an ineffective cleaner or a bad cloth.
Go get a little spray bottle and fill it with Sprayway or some other non-amonia window cleaner (the kind that say they are safe for tined windows -- try Autozone). I keep this little bottle in the rear storage compartment that faces the back seat.
Use only a clean cotton towel or washrag or Microfiber cloth to wipe off the screen. If you are using a paper towel or a cloth with polyester in it, then you are both not absorbing the spray with the fingerprints and you are scratching the surface of the screen.
The fingerprints are a bit of a problem, but the convenience of the touch screen more than makes up for it.
