the ashtray door spring is easy to adjust and I think the cup holder spring was also easy but need to see a pic.
WARNING, always close the ashtray door before installing the cup holder assembly back into the center console…if it is open, you will break the ashtray arm. See this thread.

Now, not only does the holder thing not open, the door itself doesn't open all the way.

I'm just going to bite the bullet and take the out and fully apart to clean it up/out and then reinstall.

Wish me luck.
I just put all the bits and pieces of the cup holder in the dishwasher.

Is there a guide somewhere on putting these things back together?

When i was cleaning mine up, i found that the small protrusion that is part of the closing mechanism, broke off. ABS cement did the trick. This, just the regular black one from hime depot, also fixed few tabs on senter console

As it turns out, it's not terribly difficult to reassemble. The key is pushing out the dowel pins acting as hinges.

It's fiddly, but common sense.

A small L shaped piece of plastic fell out when I was disassembling it and went somewhere. Can't find it. I suspect it's related to the final release mechanism, because the top door opens just fine, but the actual cupholder doesn't open consistently. I can live with that.

Thanks.

Looks like the same part number across the product line.
