Default Got my speakers repaired with an easy re-foam kit

I had 5 out of 9 speakers dead in our SC430. From the dealer, replacing these are $19,803.27, maybe more.

I bought a refoam kit from Simply Speakers, spent a couple of easy hours re-doing the foam and was immediately surprised at how wonderful the stereo sounds!

Bought the kit off Ebay from Simplyspeakers. They were great for support, have easy to understand video tutorials, and customer service is A+

Attached are a few photos of the project.

There's also a good YouTube video showing how to remove the door panel and replace the speaker foam. I'll be doing same very soon.

Great job on yours!

Yeah.. here's the link, for reference, on the replacement parts at SEWELL

I admire you guys who will dive in and disassemble to repair.

Spent the better part of the day replacing the foam on both front door 6 x 9s using the Simply Speaker foam repair kit. Contrary to the advice from the YouTube video posted by Logistico I removed the door panels which made removing the speakers much easier. The longest part is waiting for the glue to dry. It's nice no longer hearing the buzz buzz from the cracked foam.
