The last couple of days when I started the car it didn't turn over immediately as it normally does. Now when I turn the key the dash symbols all come on; radio, lights, etc work fine. I hear a strange close sound like lite weight metal fluttering which continues as long as the key is turned to start. But nothing beyond that. Any ideas as I wait for AAA.

 

Dead battery. Get a new one. Problem solved.

 

AAA will sell you a battery but you may want to check the forum first; a lot of info on batteries here.

 

Walmart MAXX size H6. should be about $110. Lot's of cold cranking amps

 

AAA has good batteries and good warranties. You also can't beat he convenience.
