I never knew there existed an automobile named the TVR until just an hour ago while watching the Velocity channel. To me it looks like a cross between a Doge Viper and the SC430.
I think this is the model and year they showed on the show. About 12 years old, 0-60 in 4 seconds.

I saw that episode too and made the SC 430 connection but not the Viper. They really did a good job fixing the frame and doing cosmetic upgrades (high gloss blacked out OEM wheels). I wondered why they didn't gain much popularity while it was in production, maybe due to it's unique body design?

TVR has been around for 30+ years in one form or another. I don't know if the company changed hands in that time but I remember TVR's in the 70s-80s. They were more like a kit car then.

I looked it up. Named for the founder Trevor Wilkinson in the 50's and 60's .Fiberglass bodies and tube chassis.
Built for racing. The company was sold to Martin Lilley in 1965.Many different engines were used in these cars.

Very niche UK sports car brand. Even over there, seeing one is a rare sight. The pic may be a TVR Cerbera Speed 12 ( my best guess only ) and there was another relatively exotic design called the TVR Tuscan and another called the Sagaris. The two TVRs I have actually seen in the metal were the TVR Tasmin and the Griffth. Personally, I would stick with our SCs. My sense is that TVRs are pretty basic cars on the inside.
