When my trunk lid was replaced the weather strip actually became unfastened. You might check the attachment along the front of the lid.

Sounds like the rubber weather strip is not aligned.

Just run along the edge of the trunk, apply pressure, and make sure it's set.

There' not an airtight seal between the trunk compartment and the passenger compartment. Water vapor in the trunk dispersed to the passenger compartment, and then condensed on the windows as the air temps fell. That's my guess.

That's certainly plausible. I have had that happen with a previous car.

If you look at previous threads on the subject, for some strange reason (read, quirky SC 430 thingy), the water leak in the trunk/boot, seems to occur mainly on the right side. That was my experience. Solved it by placing an all weather adhesive strip over the length of the top of the rubber strip on the trunk/boot lid. I also black siliconed the length of the rubber strip on the roof part where the lid meets the roof. Leak problem solved - and I live in the tropics ! I know downpours lol

Apologies for no photos of the bits I mention. If you get stuck, I will try and take some

Default Adhesive strip

What kind of adhesive strip did you use?

I live in a semi-tropical place too (and miss Qld greatly -- you in Brisbane?). Hope you're having a good summer.

I am in the tropics in Townsville. One cyclone already but no probs. BTW, no trunk/boot leaks post-cyclone (I don't have a garage)

The strip I used was a Moroday Multi Seal from Bunnings. Only prob it is white. I used a black texta along the edge of it. cheers
