Default Headlight Self Levelling Error

Hi,

I noticed the light below which seems to be a headlight self levelling error appear today. I know it came on a while back and disappeared butt the place its located is unnoticeable as its in the top corner and you have to tilt your head to see it so not sure if it came on many times.. But yeah I saw it today while waiting for my turn at the car wash since it was nice and sunny out and I leaned over to pull the foot brake release then saw it... It seemed to dissapear a few minutes later.. then I stopped somewhere, came back started car and same thing and then it dissapeared again. A while later it came on stayed on..

what could it be? im aware that there maybe a 2 sensors, one in front and other in rear axle? I also know there is a module for left and right side... im wondering what it could be, but i havent got the code read yet..

any ideas?

I read it's probably the rear sensor located on the passenger side attached to the lower arm on the rear axle.

Does your headlamp low beam appear out of its proper position ? This happened to me years back, my headlamp beams were way too low and so I could see next to nothing at night. Fix was to replace levelling sensor.

where can I find these sensors for cheap? is there a way to be sure its the rear one? will it come up in the code?

Don't know which sensor was replaced but I suspect it was the front. I also think the small motor that move the HIDs up and down might have failed and was replaced under CPO warranty years back.

Mine acts up when it is cold. I do have to adjust it so it tilts further up. The leveler works.

I took the car out again after 5 days now because the roads cleared.. and there is no error.. I guess its acting up because of the cold.. Ill report back if it comes on again

and I actually have to adjust my lights too, there a bit too high.
