Snapped bolt in block during timing belt install
Hey all,
Hit a major roadblock today while performing a timing belt DIY.
Everything was going fine right up to the point a bolt attached to the oil pump housing that holds alternator to the main block the main block snapped. Later I find it did not need to be removed, only removed because it was in the way while undoing the crank bolt. Major Bummer
I snapped a few pics to show what snapped, barely used any pressure when it snapped too. Looks like the oil pump assembly has to come off to extract the bolt.
Anyone seen this before or have to remove this part of the engine before and any pointers?

sorry to hear, do you really need to take all that out? because it doesnt look like something that can be taken out without engine coming out.. is there a way you can just stick a long bolt extractor in there and do the best you can with steady hands?
whats the orange stuff on the bolt btw?
i realize this post is 2 weeks old, hope you figured it out by now :/
