Did I accidentally buy a VW bug?!?
Pulling out of the lot at work - Absolutely Red parked across the street.
Kewl.
At a mile from the office, on the freeway - Egyptian Sand coming the other way.
That's odd...
Four miles, surface street to house - Midnight Blue beside me...
What the?!? Does EVERYBODY have one? This is worse than driving the Forester (of which there are at least 4 within a block of my house - that's ~15 households, tops).

I know how you feel.
I was one of the first to get my SC (May 2000) and within weeks I was seeing them all over NYC and Long Island. Surprisingly, I have had my GX for 6 weeks and still haven't seen another on the road yet!
I guess its basically impossible to have something unique unless you can spend $250,000!
Oh well - at least its a great car.

Since I've had my SC430 (July 2001), I've seen a grand total of two others in my area and each one only once, so I don't even know if they're local or just passing through. While I don't live in Mayberry RFD, I do live in a sparsely populated area - county pop ~200,000 (including the NYC lowlifes migrating here).
I suppose there'll be more around this summer seeing as how the car has been available for a couple of years.
Being unique is cool, but it sometimes calls attention to activities and behavior one really does not want called to attention. That's why I also own a nondescript Subaru Outback wagon.

naw...
around here I routinely see Bentley's, Aston Martins, and Ferrari's... all in the $250K + range...
..it all depends on where you live, and what areas you drive around in...
Heck, I see about the same amount of Dodge Vipers as SC430s 'round here....
...but I see a heck of a lot of New Beetles.... at least 20+ a day -- LOL... (NOT INCLUDING MINE)...
