...I wouldn't worry about treating/painting them. You will have that metallic look that you're wanting. I know i haven't had any issues in 6months & Darth went a couple of years without a rust issue, before switching his setup. Worst case scenario, if you don't like the metallic look, you could then look into painting the hubs

ShawnOk the hub area was painted by me. The rotors came in a zinc coating from the manufacture. I first did some prep work by lightly sanding the hub, followed with a bit of cleaning with laquer thinner to remove all contaminants. I then taped the rotors and I used high heat Rustoleum flat black spray paint. This is all I did and as you can see the paint sustained well over a two year peroid without any issues.

SC4ME if you refer to the brake performance website there is an explanation how their rotors are zinc coated. There is a before and after picture provided on there website that displays the outcome of the rotors with the wear from the brake pads. Refer to the provided picture.

Got my parts this weekend and they are actually branded with the PowerStop name and part numbers. Unfortunately it's going to take a while to get the install done since i'm low on dough... Here are some pics. This package included all the pad hardware, also.

So I talked to my shop and they cut me a deal for $225 for the pads/rotors installed and to paint the calipers. Fair?

New D&S rotors, new pads, and repainted the calipers. Mod completed! Broke in the pads and everything works great. Had a small shimmy and sound on right hand turns from Front Right tire on the test drive but my mechanic sorted out the spring that was loose. All good now! Braking power feels the same as OEM. No pulses or anything. Plus, my new rims have more vanes so the rotors and red calipers will really shine through. Check out some pix!

Thanks! For about $450, I'm happy with the results. I just wish the brakes contacted more area of the rotors so there wasn't a "halo" on the zinc finish. Oh well, that's life.

So Shawn, great looking rotors and nice calipers.
But what's with the Blizzaks ? Great tires and all but wouldn't they be best suited for winter months ?

u got the same ones i got! powerstop rotors. Hey does yours squeak when reversing. Mine started squeaking but after driving for about a week it stopped all together not sure if it was just breaking in the new rotors and pads.
