The battery seems good in key, but i can stand next to car, and it will "click" but door wont lock or unlock.

I read plenty of threads where people changed the battery with no help.

 

Can I chime in here??!? I have had this same exact issue for 2 years now. Seems to be more of a problem in warm weather than cold, FWIW. I'm pretty much fed up. I push the remote, and sometimes it will beep 4,5,6 times and then stop without unlocking. It is at the point where I will have to use my manual key to open the door. And then, there are days when it works fine. It is very inconsistent.

Will extended warranty (jerry johnson) cover this?

 

Question for dkaleky: do you have the same issue when you use the unlock/lock button on the drivers door? If so it's not the key fob, it's something in the car causing the issue.

For lex327: Lexus extended warranty from Jerry Johnson should cover this.

 

I have not checked drivers vs passenger, b/c it is a general not beeping to lock or unlock.

When I manually open car, it seems to reset, and it works...for awhile.
