Unhappy SC 430 Airbag, LEXUS RECALL issued 6/11/14

Toyota Motor Company Lexus issued a RECALL on several model lexus Airbags today. I know that for the SC 430 is was for Model years 2002 - 2004. The airbag is not faulty but the sensor parts could be faulty according to Toyota. Check your service bulletins for additional years and models !

Here is a link to the new recall dated 6/11/2014 :
http://www.lexus.com/recall/pdf/reca...se_6-11-14.pdf
The way I read it, if you have a 2002 through 2004 SC430 and received a recall notice back in April of 2013, your car needs a new passenger airbag inflator, period. If they checked and replaced yours already, you're all set. If they checked yours and said it wasn't needed, it is now...

Here is an excerpt from the recall bulletin :

For vehicles which were inspected and did not receive a replacement inflator, Toyota will re-notify the owners and replace the inflator with a new one.

For vehicles which have not received the 2013 recall remedy previously, Toyota is changing the remedy from “inspect and replace the inflator if it is involved” to “replace the inflator with a new one.”

I have been following the other thread on this topic and finally decided to call my dealer today for an appointment. I was told I could bring it in but there is a secondary recall and I would need a second appointment. I am choosing to wait just in case the second recall involves messing with the dash a second time. Rethinking maybe I should go twice for the tank of gas and the car wash!

Shoot, I went through the 1st round and now I have been told it has to go back...I do not feel good about this. I hope they do not tear it apart. I have to call my service guy, he was good.

...so did they replace yours the first time ? I was thinking if they replaced it the first time around, then you wouldn't get the second notice ?
