Dying to new a new mod/upgrade- suggestions?
Hi All-
I'm dying to do a new mod/upgrade to my 2002 sc430. Just got rid of my complaing and expensive ex-fiance and have a bit more time and cash :-)
I was considering new wheels, but I cleaned the chrome this weekend and they look like new. I'm serioiusely considering Tein Comfort Sport Coilovers with EFDC from SRT, but hesitate due to the price tag of $2500.
I already have a SRT cold intake with chip, restalled torque converter, and I'm also running a sprint booster. I have thought about new exhaust but cannot seem to find someplace to do it or even the correct exhaust components.
Suggestions or shops for mod/upgrades?? I live in the Washington DC area...
Thanks!!

Exaaaaaaaaactly... What Moonstruck said... I got rid of my complaining and expensive ex in 2006 and haven't looked back since. Except to check for traffic in my SC430! Hahahaha! I can handle expensive, NOT complaining! Great thread...

Very funny comment. The not complaining is the best part of my SC and my dog. I am in the DC area and would love to show off the look, performance and sound of my exhaust. Mufflers and X pipe from Dr. gas (same as Bacardi), 3rd cat delete and custom SS 2.5" exhaust built and installed by Mach V in Sterling.

Do you think I can do this myself? I recall you put some instructions up? How do you get the ATF fluid back in the car once it's drained? All I see is a little dipstick up top :-)

you use a small funnel to replace it like i did. I don't think you want to do this with out a lift. you better trust me when I tell you this. my cost was 49.00 parts and 80.00 labor.

exhaust is nice, but won't make as much difference in terms of noise as the intake unless you take out the stock bended pipes and also the resonator. (I have both and before with just exhaust, it sounded stock still, intake made huge difference)
Do you have any maintenance that needs to be done? Timing belt? I would get those out of the way before blowing money on mods. I just rebuilt my whole front suspension, not exactly a mod, but I had to do it because my alignment was *****ed and most of my suspension had play! haha , blew about 1,000 on redoing the front suspension and it feels like new again
