Looking forward to the pics and description of installation.
Would love to get rid of mine as well.
Have one on my RX300 and hate it! My wife has a LS430 and the antenna is in the windshield (I think). Love that.

I ordered the Craven Speed Stubby, let's see if it looks better. If it does not, it goes to the Miata!

Looks great Mandy! Wish you had taken photos of the antenna before the install so we can see the connection end and a step by step install. What did the antenna run you? Did you have to remove the entire motor, or is it still in place? It looks as if it the speed stubby has a much wider base so it might not fit without fender modification. Great work so far though!

I do have pics to show how I modified my antenna to fit our SC.
To start with (just because these were available for me) and you can source this now:
Celica Antenna, or perhaps any Toyota antenna base.
Honda S2000 Antenna, if you like this style. This antenna fits the base perfectly.
The hardest part is the full tear down of the trunk. If you take your time, it is just a bunch of clips and bolts. You will tear down the right side to access the antenna.
The Antenna is 1 piece. Take out the bolt and the whole thing comes off, after disconnecting the power.
For my Celica base, I had to cut out a portion of the base (the white base where the antenna mounts) since the trunk of the antenna was shorter than the original, I cut out about a quarter of an inch.
Then it is simple as screwing in the retainer bolt.
To add rigidity, I took the frame off the old antenna and mounted it back and tie wrapped the base, in case somebody wanted to steal the antenna, they can not.
I have a business trip, but will bring the pics with me so I post here.
I am so happy the outdated look is gone.
I want a lot of people to get a chance to do theirs.
1-5, 5 being the hardest, this is a 3.
I know that fleabay has a ton of the S2000 antenna, as well as the antenna base.
In a previous thread, I posted the base I had.

Take your time in putting the whole trunk back together. The DVD NAV and the Amp are available for mods while the trunk is wide open.

Looks great mandyfig! Well done sir. I have to agree with ShawnOk on the Craven Speed antenna. The base of that particular antenna looks a bit to wide. Perhaps we will be proved wrong. Either way, nice mod and thankyou!
