LOL ... a cavia (not caviar) is a little mouse you keep near your dinner table and feed him a little of whatever you're eating. If he dies, don't eat!

For obvious reasons, I did not want to call it a guinea pig.

Looking forward to some pics!

A Guinea Pig is where they get proscutti from.

Well, I didn't put on new stuff tonight. I've been having one of those days where my body and brain don't want to work together. My nephew is coming over tomorrow night to put them on with me.

Larry and all:

I am waiting for the snow to dissipate before taking the SC out of the garage in Manhattan and getting Michelins to replace the horrible run flats. Has not been on the road since Thanksgiving. Meanwhile running the Subaru Forester, a perfect winter car.

So I might as well hold off ordering the STB until you try it, anyway, you are going to get your new tires on first so you will be able to isolate the effects of the brace.

Am rather surprised that my initial query elicited so much interest. I have little interest in making a hot rod out of the SC but would like it to handle a little more sharply.

You're the opposite of me. I am trying to make a hotrod out of my Lexus !

I'm not being sarcastic by the way, I'm serious !

Larry

A true riproaring SC able to blast away the various pretentious Mercedes, especially if you configured it as an externally innocent Q ship, would have a certain charm !!! But two years ago my original intention was to get an M3 convertible, my order was actually first in line at the dealer, the day before it was to arrive I was told about an available SC, I saw it and succumbed and got my deposit on the BMW back, there went my hot rod. From the squawks about engine breakdowns with the M3 I apparently did the right thing, but I do have the occasional minor twinge of regret.

We will all listen to your reports on your experiments with great interest and anticipation !!!

A good friend of mine has the M3 conv (2002 in Laguna blue).

Great handling and VERY quick. I must say though, the fit, finish and overall quality between the Lex and the BMW is like night and day. Lexus is light years ahead. As far as reliability, again there is no contest. Lex wins again.

We've compared our cars side by side, and even my buddy admits the vast differences. He regrets buying the M3 and says his next car will be the SC.

Apologies to all you BMW owners out there.

Nope. I looked under the hood and there's so much stuff in the way I can't even see the tops of the struts.

I decided to hold off for a bit.

Nope, didn't buy it.

But I do have "something else" sitting in the garage waiting.............Next week, I swear. It's turned into one of those "I'll do it tomorrow" things. I really need to get moving on this, and I will !!

i realize this is an extremely old thread, but i dont think the function of a lower brace was quite explained.

or maybe its just me..

but i was still wondering as to what exactly does a lower brace, lower suspension 6 link, and rear lower brace does?

please pardon my curiosity.
