Default brake fluid color

I have 30 k on my 2oo6 the brake fluid looks dirty if you were to change it what is used stock thx

Factory is DOT 3.

Dot 3 is correct plus you will find this information embossed on the cap to your master cylinder.

Do a drain and fill. Means suck up the old fluid and replace. Or else do a purge. Good luck.

That's one thing I noticed all SC430's tend to have, very dark color in the brake fluid reservoir. Must be a common thing. Get yourself a turkey baster type suction thing, and replace all you can... especially during a brake job, after you are compressing the pistons in on the calipers to insert the new meatier pads.

The SC430 has a unique procedure to follow to flush the brake fluid. I did follow it to a "T" when I flushed ours, but I did find the correct info here, and I don't remember the exact procedure. Do a good search and you should find it posted somewhere here. Just remember, flushing the brake fluid does not follow the normal sequence of events.
