Being the vehicle is at a Lexus dealership, the most they will probably come down to will be a price of $40,300.00. That's a quick and easy $6,550.00 in their pocket. Someone will get themselves a nice Lexus SC430 if they're willing to pay a premium.
I would LOVE to see the look on the salesman's face if someone were to quote him KBB pricing for it. Which many people seem to think is the golden rule around here. Lol. He will smile at them with a Cheshire grin, tuck his paperwork back into his front pocket and say "Thank you very much for coming out to the dealership today... As you can see, we have an extensive inventory here. Perhaps you may find something else that works within your budget. I'll just be inside should you have any questions or want to look at anything else. Again, my name is_______ _______, here is my card, and I will be happy to help you!" Hahaha! and THAT my fine haired, friendly, fellow Forum Members, is exactly how that will go down...

I believe after a bit of detective sleuthing, I located your car at their sister Lexus dealership already. It now rests on the lot with 18,714 mi. on the clock at a price of $41,991.00.

I bought that car sight unseen in December 2013, with a CPO warranty from a dealer in Chicago with about 14,000 miles on it. I had it shipped to me here in Florida. I paid much less than that with tax, shipping and CPO warranty.
The car is in very nice condition but I can't see anyone with knowledge of the market paying more than mid 30's for it. Last summer another local Lexus dealer offered me $29,500 and they were going to certify it as CPO and put it on their lot. Now 2007 cannot be certified as CPO because it's too old.

I was just at the same Tampa Lexus dealer having my LS460 serviced last week. While waiting in the lounge, the salesman who sold me the LS stopped by and told me he had this wonderful low mileage SC to show me - and for only $43k! I sort of laughed when I heard the price and politely declined ☺

The LS460 has more elbow room, more responsive throttle, more power, better ML stereo and the suspension "floats" more than the SC430.
The SC is very comfortable seating and it fells like I'm wearing a comfortable old pair of shoes. Without the run flat tires and with Michelin Pilot Super Sports tires it tracks very well and is smooth riding. Of course, drop the top and it's a wonderful ride. I plan on keeping the Red/Ecru 2008 for a long time. I take it out at least once a week. It's especially nice top down, early evening joy ride, on rural roads east of Bradenton/Sarasota. I always get complements driving it.
Our run around the city car is our 40 MPG CT.

Yesterday, end of month, I bought a 2014 Ford F150 Crew cab Pickup with tow package and twin turbo 3.5 L ECO boost engine. We needed something bigger than our CT 200h to transport items the 250 miles from one home to another and ability to tow a trailer.
We were not going to trade and I initially negotiated outright purchase. Truck MSRP was $42,000 and with $4,200 X-Plan discount and 3 separate rebates totaling and additional $5,800 it was $32,000 +++.
Then I brought up, what would you give me for our 2007 SC430 with 18,170 miles on it. The Initial offer was $25,000. So we did the negotiation dance for about 2 hours and eventually I was able to get offer up to $33,750. I'm still shocked they went that high. Their sister Lexus dealer supposedly already has a buyer for it. Of course I parked it in front with the top down during negotiations. It attracted lots of attention from the sales people and even customers. The sales manager took pictures and sent them to the sister Lexus dealer for offers.
So I got a $42,000 MSRP 2014 Ford F150 and $1,500 cash in my pocket for our 2007 sc430.
With the trade I didn't have to pay sales tax and with X-Plan the $600 "dealer fee" was only $100.
I will miss the 2007 Silver/Saddle SC430 but we still have our red/ecru SC430 that I love.

We paid $31K for our 2007 SC430 with 11K miles on it 2 years ago. It now has 28K miles on it and 2 years older so it should be worth a lot less than I paid for it. That said I still paid about $3K below trade in at the time, so the fact that a dealer offered way above private party and above dealer retail(the highest price they'd offer it on resale) is well, hard to believe.

That is shocking for tradein as trade in is closer to 28K and no dealer ever goes as high as trade in even if the vehicle is perfect.

That said I still paid about $3K below trade in at the time, so the fact that a dealer offered way above private party and above dealer retail(the highest price they'd offer it on resale) is well, hard to believe.

Agreed, I found it hard to believe also. As I wrote earlier, "The Ford dealer offered to buy my 2007 Silver SC430 outright for $32,500 EVEN IF I DIDN'T BUY A TRUCK FROM THEM. Last summer when I was looking to downsize and sell one of our 4 Lexus's the local Lexus dealer only offered me $29,500 for outright sale for the 2007 Sc430". I think someone screwed up in the pricing. Don't get me wrong, the car is immaculate. I also found it hard to believe that the Lexus dealer listed it for sale at $43,990.
Here is the dealer worksheet for the deal. I redacted Personal Identifying Information. The Window sticker MSRP for the truck was $41,850 and they reduced the selling price to $32,466 after X-Plan (Ford Partner) savings and rebates.
You can see the final Trade in Value of $33,750 for a credit balance of $1,283. The initial trade in offer was $25,360 but with a few hours of negotiation it went up to $33,750
Of course you can see this was late in the day the last day of the month which gives the buyer an advantage if sales manager is short of his quota to make his monthly bonus.

My TRADED IN SC430 which started out at $43,991 is now listed for $33,494. That's less than what I received on the trade.
I guess their expected quick profit won't come to pass for them They've had it in their lot for 2+ months now.
