Interior Wrap
#31
Steve, I completed my carbon fiber wrap this week and had trouble with the steering wheel. I tried for hours to make it look professional and make all the lines meet up but still not to my standard. Can you give me some advice on how you've done yours so clean, please? I tired a large single piece and stretched, I tired multiple strips to line up... Not good enough. Any advice?

I had my interior and steering wheel done at a shop and I watched the guy doing the steering wheel. I can understand that you are having problems as it took a long time. Firstly the prep work and the actual wrapping. He made a fantastic job and I cannot even feel where the join is(although I know it is on the back). Lots of heat gun work and lots of patience. I honestly would not want to try it myself.
Good on you for giving it a go.
Cheers

Completed my Anthracite wrap to my satisfaction. Did it all myself in the end. I'm not happy with the steering wheel which currently has a some "joint" lines but no bubbles. Will probably break down and pay to have it done professionally. As for the gear shift now, I was very generously given one from Steve and am in the process of wrapping it to match the Anthracite but right now the steering wheel cover and the **** match, so I will leave it as it stands for the moment... I'm happy with the results.
