key fob remotes working intermittently.
Hi everyone. Weird situation. Both remotes seem to be acting up. Especially in the mornings, they will not chime or unlock the doors. The red light flashes on the remote, but nothing happens. I open the door via the key blade insertion into door hole.
Sometimes if I slam the door, it starts working again. Not sure if just coincidence or not.
I changed the remote batteries. But even still, seems odd that it would be the remotes if both are doing the same thing.
I searched the forum, and came up pretty short. One gentleman stated cleaning the internals of the remote helped. Any other suggestions or similar experiences? Any and all help appreciated. Thank you!

I'm having the same problem.... such a headache. Do you have the LuxLink? Even worse with the Luxlink b'c standing right next to the car defeats the purpose of LuxLink all together. Any input is really appreciated.

I am having the same problem just today. I think it's the door actuator that may have came lose. There are some plastic parts that are screw on and overtimes they might fail.
Anyway, I will take the door panel off and investigate tomorrow. Hope you guys might do the same and see what we can find out.

After taking off the panel and checked all the plastic connectors and screws. All are good and tight, the module seems to work fine.
I bolted all back and tested a few times without issue. I guess I will let it be till things go worng again. Sorry guys, no real finding on my part.

I have been having the same issues. I changed the key fob batteries and still persist. I believe it's the door actuator.

Yes, I have. I noticed that the driver side door lock actuator did not push or retract all the way and that led me to think the plastic bits may be broken or loose. It was not the case after I looked. I'm guessing the actuator is going to be the problem but as long as it still works, I'm letting it be.

My problem isn't isolated to the doors either. Event he trunk doesn't pop right away when i hold the button. My problem truly seems to be a signal reception/transmission problem. Is there a way that the key fob transmitter can go bad? On two different key fobs? Very unlikely right?

Unlikely or...
...or if you've had them both on the same keyring recently, an particularly big one with many other keys or items on it, they could have both been crush damaged. This happened me 10 years ago and it was expensive to put right, one new key, and the best of the rest as a spare....
