No I dont believe so, Im on Weds Kranze Bazreias and never needed then on my LS400...
I recommend you check your front rims to verify if the hub centric ring is missing. Most after market wheels are manufactured with a much larger hub opening greater than 60.06 (or 60.1 round up) millimeters to allow fitment on a variety of vehicles. If the centric ring is missing, than the rim is relying on the lugs for perfect centering or lugcentric, which leads to vibration of the wheels and steering wheel. This gives the driver the sensation of an unbalanced tire. Both the LS & SC have the same hub diameter of 60.1mm. It couldn't hurt to check, as I've been down this path.
What are your wheels offsets and widths? Also what tires are you running? I'm thinking of maybe going to an 18 inch setup.. Yours is looking good
Sick.
...thanx for the compliment, loving your wheels also !!! I'm running Stern ST-2 wheels....fronts are 18x8.5 w/20 offset & rears are 18x9.5 w/25 offset...you could do a 10in in the rear, with the same offset & have no issues. The tires are Michelin Sports A/S Plus.....225/40/18 front & 275/35/18 rear...Michelin has the A/S 3 now, which has replaced the tire I'm running
...a little blurry, but this is my set-up with the new body kit

Had this same issue last week. Put hub ring and issue fix.
