1) Will this work on my 2004 LS as well as the 2006 SC? Or niether?

2) I cannot get the links to amazon to work, are there newer links?

3) Is there a version for Linux or will I have to get a Windoze computer just for this?

4) In AliExpress there are many of them with different software numbers. How do you know which one to get?

Jim

Here is a good thread to review and yes it will work your LS as it does on mine. It is a Windows XP based software so no it will not work on Linux. The only version I know to stay away from is V13. I am running V12 on my laptop and my son has V15 on his.

Jim

You do realize that is being shipped out of China so it could be a few weeks or so before you receive it.

Jim

That will give you time to round up an old Windows XP Laptop.

You do realize that is firmware version 1 not 2. My 06 would not work with version 1. Hope yours does. Also, as discussed before, Windows 10 32 bit works fine on a newer computer. It may be hard to find an XP.

The v15 with a 1.4 cable are working correctly with my '06 on a Win7 computer. With that same cable and computer, the v12 and v14 Techstream would not connect to my '06.

I know, the results are all over the board. Sometimes I think it is just the luck of the draw.

well, at least I got it from Ebay so I can return it if its not right. Usually I buy from AliExpress..direct from China, but this time I decided to play it safe because the price was only a few dollars different.

I’m running version 12, I originally had just the 1.4.1 cable off eBay, it worked perfectly on my 2000 Avalon. It wouldn’t read live engine data on my 2014 ES350, it could set/customize options and program keys. I purchased a 2.0.4 from aliexpress for a much better price Than amazon or eBay., 37 usd. This version firmware reads live engine and transmission data. I currently possess both cables, 1.4.1 and 2.0.4, so I’m capable of trying both cables, I’m able to repair up to 2018, I may get version 14 or 15 one of these days.

I do hope everything will go well for you. Installing TechStream sometimes can be a challenge. Do come back here if you run into problem, we can help. Once you get it going, you will like it. Good luck.

It certainly looks that way doesn't it... I read an article from a company that sells Techstream and the cables. They said to keep trying different Techstream versions until you find one that works for you...wow

That was a late night post and being too tired to power up my Techstream computer and connect it to see what's on the immobilizer screen

I was hoping to hear it would list the master keys plus the valet and wallet keys so I could select what I wanted to delete to free up a spot for the new key.

I finally looked... As you folks know that's not one of the option...I now have a plan though.
