You can do a couple of things. You can take it to a machine shop to mill away the excess material but you may or may not have the proper use of the clock spring/spiral cable. Or find out what car the steering wheel is meant for and see if that clock spring is compatible with the sc. It was probably listed that it would work for the sc because a lot of the steering wheels look alike in the lexus line up at any given model year
just waiting on a reply from artisan.
i went to 2 lexus dealership in melbourne, australia. One wasn't very helpful the other was. There are 3 different variants of spiral cable for my model, but the tech cannot get a photo of any of the spiral cable so that we can visually look at it and determine which spiral the steering wheel fit into.
It must be possible, as these photo indicate, someone's done it before...
Just because the wheel is mounted to in the car doesn't mean the clock spring is in there or if the turn signals will stop blinking after you straighten the steering wheel after a turn.
unfortunately im still awaiting for a reply from artisan.
i guess i have to take this to get it milled from a steel fabricator.
unless someone can give me some advise on what to do.
