Default Fix run flats

At the Lexcus dealership today was talking to the service guy about run flats vs non-run flats. He had a lot of the points already discussed here. However when I mentioned the inability to repair a run flat he said they now had a bulletin telling them they could repair runs flats as long as the puncture was not within 1" of the edge of the tread. In other words it would have to be in the middle portion of the tread. He said they do both plugs and inside patching.
