I'm retired and money is hardly the issue. I wonder about shelf life. Yes, no inflation using the "market basket" test which is jiggered as needed to hit the desired numbers without "volatile" commodities like housing, fuel, and other stuff most people don't use.....right?

It may be possible to keep them for some time as long as they are kept in a climate controlled area and out of the sun.

I think I'm going to bite the bullet and buy all the parts but I'm going to get the Lexus stuff. That's just the way I am. Sorry to mention it again but it looks like March 24th of this year, they have a GREATLY improved inflation calculation system breaking out commodities. Just trying to be fair. It actually looks useful for once. We'll see. I won't mention it again. BTW, your car is beautiful.

Here is the link to the Aisin 001 kit on Amazon. Only $180.98 for the 001 kit and a tensioner. And Rudy, the Aisin kit is Lexus stuff. It has been confirmed that the OEM water pump that comes in the car from Lexus is in fact made by Aisin.

so an update...the order from carid went horrible. first they said the item was backordered and i would need to wait to april the 7th for the kit to ship. then on april the 9th they sent another email saying the product was delayed until the middle of may, possibly the beginning of june. to add humor to the frustration they also had the pcv valve grommet on backorder for the same period claiming it was a build to order part...a gasket. i picked up the gasket from a local auto parts chain, canceled the order to carid, and ordered from autoplicity. i paid less for the kit, they had it instock, and it arrived in 3 days from order which was placed early friday morning. shame too because i had planned on getting the wiring harness from carid to do an aftermarket headunit and maintain factory nav and steering wheel control. after that botched order i am second guessing that.
