It's just my opinion, I really do think there are more careless people in Houston than Dallas and the parking spaces are smaller too.

I, too, park my vehicles in the remote areas of parking lots or in end spaces where I can hug the curb to make a bigger space between me and the next car. However, sometimes the lots are full, like in many busy cities, and have few choices.

When I bought my SC, it was in very nice condition except for some door dings, I got a recommendation from the body shop I've used in the past. This paintless dent removal guy was booked out for 2 or 3 weeks. When he was done, the dents were simply gone even under close scrutiny in strong light.

Having said all of that, I would still be furious if I actually witnessed some careless person bang one of my vehicles with his or her car door.

I just detailed my car today and was at a chain (Fullers) car wash with side by side vacuum stalls. Some guy pulls up next to me in a honda civic with a kid (maybe 6 years old) in the back seat. He lets the kid out who, of course, wants to help clean the car. He runs and grabs the vacuum hose (which is attached to the ceiling between cars), and just starts trying run toward the trunk of their car. Banging the hose onto my passenger side as he trumped along. My jaw just dropped. Luckily, the father was a nice guy and asked if there was any damage. He was very respectful and in the end just said sorry and I just let it go. I understand children have some immunity in these matters, but it was nice of the father to step up. I was thinking of this thread the entire day.. haha.

Wow we don't get that around Houston LOL. The problem that I have is not the damage, it is how people act towards it. In your situation above, if that happened to me, I would had let it go as well. Even if it was pretty bad, as long as they acknowledge it and apologize. Some things are just not worth my time going to the insurance

Sorry to see that bb430. That is so annoying and frustrating. I'm fortunate that my wife supports parking away from everyone else as much as is reasonable, then again, even that isn't enough sometimes. I'll be parked way out in the extremes of the parking lot sometimes, only to come out and find that I'm still way out in the parking with a group of cars surrounding mine.

I never can figure that one out. If someone is going to the trouble to park far out, why would they park right next to someone else?

You can't teach idiots how and where to park. I was all the way at the end by the curbside and I can't even touch the car on the left when I swing my door fully opened. I guess someone else came after that car left and when we came out the spot was empty. I went in and asked the counter guy if she saw anything but of course not. Then an CRV came and parked next to me when I was there taking the photo.
Just can't figure out how the car was parked before. It was really frustrated and made my whole day miserable.
