I did the conversion to my '03. Thge parts you listed is ALL you need. You will however get the light on the dash. Simply remove the dash and "black-out" the LED to the indicator. If you feel uncomfortable doing that, send your dash to me (with return shipping) and ill do it for you.

Thanks Andy, appreciate that, I will let you know If i do need that!. what im trying to figure out is when you get this error.. do you guys have any flickering issues or dim lights at all?
I emailed Luis at Carson Toyota for the light package and he mentioned that "if you don't want any flickering or dim tail lights and no light on your dash you will need the rear ecu..."
I dont mind blacking the light out but just wondering if these other issues are true?
So here's a stupid question, if the dash error light is only dependent on resistance (as demonstrated by Caseoane's Angel Eyes DIY... https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc-...and-video.html) has anyone tried to possibly add a resistor to the specific wire in wire harness? Would eliminate having to take the dash apart and also keep the safety of the system error if something actually occurred with any of the other lights on the car? Just a thought.
I believe that was done Shawn, adding a resistor however dimmed the led tail lights itself. Also the heat from the resistors itself could pose an issue if they weren't placed right.
Still wondering about this thread... if anyone can shed any confirmatory information on doing the upgrade (without the ECU) and adding a resistor to eliminate the dash error light? I would prefer not to add tape to the dash as that system is a beneficial safety warning. If adding the tail lights with the 2006+ wire harness adapted with a resistor clears the light, that would def be a worthwhile experiment, IMHO. Anyone willing to try on their SC with upgraded tail lights (without the upgraded ECU)?
A resistor like this should do the trick.
They only become really hot is you hold the brake lights on for a very long time.
The picture is a 4ohm but I used a 3ohm on my sons Toyota Tacoma after he installed LEDs in the front and rear. I have not installed LEDsin the SC430 yet. These resistors are inexpensive and can be found on eBay.
Just search for Dale 3ohm 50w or the value you want to use.

Thanks for the reply but I wasn't referring to adding single LED bulbs (which I already have done) but rather the entire 2006+ LED tail light. I'm wondering which wires of the 2006+ harness would need the resistor.
