I'm on my first Ethanol free tank and I am astounded with the lag free performance.
My local Delta Sonic just installed Ethanol free pumps with 91 octane. The price is the highest per Gal ($3.29 in Rochester NY with reg selling for $2.65) but well worth it as the car is running like a 4.3L V8 !
Gas mileage is maybe 2 MPG higher but this is the first tank so I will monitor this.
Do your self a favor, if you can find Ethanol free gas try it

So you didn't do anything else to get rid of the lag other than change to ethanol free? Congrats.

If it really worked, I'm game to try it. I think locally only Phillip 66 has ethanol free gas?

Ha $3.29 is about what regular 87 octane goes for here in the San Francisco Bay Area

I made sure the tank was almost empty, then filled up. That's it.

Just going by the AVG MPG gauge I'm getting 2.7 MPG increase so far.
