Will resonator delete increase power?
#2
...so let me pose another question...what if we removed the flatten section of the exhaust & replaced it with a straight tube, what type of effect would that have on a factory setup ? I would think it would lessen the restriction, but do you guys think there is an advantage or disadvantage to this ?

hey Tex, I've done a third cat and resonator delete and ran straight pipes back to muffler. I dont think that it actually increased power. But I do feel that it created a more aggressive sound of the exhaust. Not much but enough for me until a better exhaust upgrade.

...I've been considering doing the resonator delete, but maintaining the 3rd cat.I would like a little more "growl" ,but definitely don't want to change the quietness that I enjoy,on an out of town cruise/ride.

I am with you tex! It is great to cruise down the road at 80mph and the car is quiet...amazing in my book. What if the third cat was removed first, reconnect with straight pipe and drive for a while to see if it sounds like you want it...

...I may considering the deletion of the cat or resonator, possibly both.I just don't want the "drone noise" that I hear in some of my friends cars, although they don't have Sc's...lol....I may just do the cold air intake and call it a day. It gives that "growl" when you step on the gas & the stock sound when cruising
