Default New Dunlop SP5000 DSST runflats?

My month-old SC430 (I LOVE IT!) has Dunlop SP5000 DSST runflats. According to tirerack, they're not even available until next month, so they must be the "new runflats".

I've been reading the posts here regarding SC430 owners replacing their runflats with the Pilot Sports (or others) and reporting much improved ride/cornering, etc.

My question is, are the new runflats better than the old ones? If the ride on my "new runflats" is already improved over the "old runflats", then maybe changing to the Pilots is not enough improvement to be worth the cost. With the Dunlop DSST's, I do have a little rattle that sounds like it's right under the dash directly in front of the driver, but it's mostly when first driving (engine and/or tires cold?).

I have the Dunlops on my car also (picked it up in November) and they seem to ride pretty much the same as the Bridgestones which my buddy at work has -- which is to say that they ride pretty rough.

I don't have any experience with the Pilot Sports but the comments here seem to be positive.
